Whistles Sweaterdress / Stan Smith Sneaker / Nicholas Keith Watch / Verve Rings

Every season I find myself gravitating towards one thing or another. For this fall/winter, it's the sweaterdress. The word itself conjures up memories of appalling chunky things from the early 2000s. The good news is that it has evolved into a much chicer shape. Midi length, straight silhouette and lighter fabrics lend to it be a perfect piece that can live on its own in the fall and layer beautifully in the winter. Since I've been on my minimal kick as of late, I styled mine with a simple white sneaker, leather watch, and layering rings. Shop the links to get the look!

Coach Bag, Watch, and Keychain / Rodebjer Sweater / Forever 21 Midi Dress / Alexander Wang Booties

The winds have changed and fall is here in full force. With that change comes two of my favorite parts of the season: the colors and the layering. For the latter, I threw this fun & furry chunky sweater over my essential tshirt dress. The monochrome palette contrasted with diverse textures creates an outfit base that's cozy and chic. While I might typically top off this look to be completely black and navy, I decided to bring in my favorite fall colors with the help of Coach accessories! The mustard bag + gold watch pair perfectly together as classics with a twist and add a great pop of color to the look. Both tones are huge for fall and lend themselves to that 70s feel that I've always been strong supporter of. Shop the links above to get each piece and happy fall!

Frame Polo / AMO Denim / Matt Bernson Mule / Pamela Love Earrings / Snash Ring / Slate Ring

As we transition into fall, I want to highlight 3 things that are vital for my wardrobe: a jean update, a polo revival, and mules you can actually walk in! First, the jeans. This amazing pair from AMO checks all the boxes on my list for a jean update-- high waisted, cropped, mini flare, raw hem. Can it get any better? The slight fading on the thigh also slims and lengthens the leg so I'm all in! Next, the polo. This isn't a "fratstar" situation... Hopefully we've left those days behind us! This polo by Frame has a some unique detailing with the deep v which adds a bit of femininity and is super soft, too! Last up, the mule. I am OBSESSED with these flat mules by Matt Bernson. I wore them during a lot of my "eurotrip" and I just love how unique, cool, and comfy they are. Shop these favorite pieces for your transitional wardrobe via the links above :)

Silence + Noise Sweater / Blank NYC Overalls / Socks / Tildon Booties (similar) / Maria Black Ear Cuff

Many people have a love/hate relationship with overalls; but for me, it's all L.O.V.E.  A classic revival that continues to evolve each time it creeps back and throughout the time it sticks around. If you are an a fan, mix up your typical overall look by wearing a sweater on top! A little cropped and boxy is best so you get just that peek of the bib. A bit of a roll on the bottom, white socks, and menswear inspired booties, give you a fun, streetstyle look!

Vintage London Fog Trench / Merona Cardi / Phillip Lim for Target Dress / Frye Boots

The trench. One of my favorites that has never gone out of style. Recently too with the rise of utility, the trench is back and bigger than ever. This London Fog was one of my top coats I found in the back of my grandmother's closet that wonderful day. Literally has tested time, both physically and in the style sense. The shape and length flatter and go with just about anything. I decided to pair mine with this Phillip Lim for Target dress that has his signature structural quality to it and my tried and true Frye knee high boots (another trend back around for fall/winter). Don't miss this closet staple (or full look) and shop the links above :)

Vintage Coat (similar) / Consignment Top (similar) / J.Crew Jeans / 3.1 Phillip Lim Flats

If you've been with me from the beginning (or glanced at the "about" page), you know I have a knack for digging through family members' closet and finding some gems. This red coat happened to be one of the 6 pristine coats (circa 1950) that I found in the back of my grandmother's closet. In conjunction, vintage and consignment stores can often hold the best outerwear. Old people are not joking when they say, "They don't make 'em like they used to." The quality and construction allows coats to last for decades and get you through the worst winters. Pop into your mom or grandma's closet asap or around the corner for some good thrifting.

Candela Agnes Dress and Aaliyah Sweater / See by Chloe Booties (similar)

There's nothing I love more about fall than layering. I'll use the word juxtapose just about every day til I die but one of my favorite parts of layering is juxtaposing the textures. These pieces by Candela make the perfect example. By contrasting sheer lace and the chunkiest wool I could find, I created an unexpected look that keeps the eye guessing. Longer lengths and varied textures down to the few accessories result in a fresh take on that 70s boho. Grab your lace, your wool, your suede, and mix things up for your new fall wardrobe.

Vintage Sweater (another fav) / Zara Top / Blank NYC Overalls / Alexander Wang Booties / Jules Smith Choker

I love me some overalls. From early workwear to 70s hippie to 90s grunge, they've been around, each time with a bit of tweak in style. Today, combining different shapes, washes, and details have made their comeback that much better. This pair by Blank NYC is one of my favorites. I love to style them either very minimal with a button down or fitted tee, or like above, a bit more cozy, layered, and fall-inspired. No matter which way your look goes, overalls should be on the top of your fall essentials.

VEDA Padre Jacket / Honor Top / Main Bra / Harper Skirt / Grenson Loafer / Flynn Bag

We all know I love and good crop top and some leather. The problem for most is putting the two together while still leaving room for a little imagination. What I loved about VEDA's resort collection was how the pieces were structural yet sexy, how I was able to pair a bustier and all leather while still looking elevated. By mixing different lengths and proportions with a bit of skin and slits, I ended up with a fashion forward outfit that still felt cool and sexy.  Shop some of my pieces above and check out thisisveda.com for their Resort Collection coming soon!

Leather + Shearling

VEDA  Lafayette Shearling Jacket / Sun Top / Five Pant / Calvin Klein Pumps

The change in seasons always has me looking for the perfect fall/winter coat. This Lafayette Jacket from VEDA had me completely hooked. Leather and shearling are among the top necessities and all the rage for your cold weather wardrobe. If you know me, I love anything oversized, so the shape and moto feel of this jacket (with the combintation of super soft leather/shearling) made it the total package.

When I'm wearing a really awesome coat, I like to keep the rest of the outfit chic and minimal. Black, skinny leather pants and white, crepe top keep clean lines and the pop in the red kitten heel add a bit of flavor. Check out the links above to shop my look and find your perfect coat.

VEDA Alpine Jacket, Rose Top, Flip Short / Alexander Wang Booties / Vintage Bag and Rings

Since I wore VEDA’s leather shortalls to fashion week last winter, I’ve been hooked. Some of the softest leather I’ve ever touched and innovative design make VEDA one of my favorite up and coming brands.

Black and white has always been one of my favorite combinations and totally on-trend for fall. These VEDA leather shorts, crepe top, and shearling jacket have the perfect b+w combo in wonderfully, differentiating textures. Shop the links above and look for the Alpine Jacket and Rose Top in their resort collection coming soon to thisisveda.com
