Solid & Striped Anne Marie One Piece (Favorite 1, 2, 3, 4)

Hands down, my favorite moment in Barcelona was discovering this "private" beach. Anyone who knows me would I agree that I live for the beach, but I have never experienced one quite like this. La Playa de Montgat was just a few train stops outside of the city center. We crossed under the train tracks which parallel the coastline and the tunnel opened up to pure bliss. Only two girls visible in miles of sand. It was truly a breathtaking moment. 

Beaching aside, it was the perfect opportunity to break out my favorite one piece -- the Anne Marie by Solid + Striped. The perfect shape and scoop back have that nineties Baywatch feel but with a certain sex appeal. Most people have no clue that New York has beaches! And I don't know what I'd do without them! I grew up driving to NY every summer for a family reunion of sorts, and it always involved beaching and boating! Since age 6, the waters of Long Island have transformed from a playground to a place of tranquility. Now working in the city (and in the fashion industry no less), heading to my aunt's little house on the canal is truly my therapy. It's the perfect place to unwind and relax in the summer. You'll often find me there for an entire weekend, no makeup, tangled hair, swimsuit 24/7. There's something so carefree and easy about it all. Perfect Beach Combo

I am a true beach lover. So when it comes to swim style and accessories, I love finding new patterns and shapes that set the best pieces apart. My perfect beach combo of the day involves an amazing one piece by a collaboration between Stone Cold Fox and Beach Riot paired with an equally exquisite straw fedora by Lack of Color. Amazing boning in the construction of the deep v is equal parts structural and sexy and the pattern and ruffle detailing add a bit of girly, vintage charm to the suit. There's something about summertime that just livens everyone's spirits. Whether it's the extra dose of vitamin d or the excuse to wear denim cutoffs everyday, you can tell the people in the streets (or the beach for that matter) are happier.

With summer comes the search for that perfect, new bathingsuit. I always gravitate towards high-waisted bikinis, but recently, I have been on the look out for an amazing one piece.  This flamingo number by Wildfox instantly spoke to me. It's fun, quirky, summery, and puts a smile on your face. After Wildfox's show at Miami Swim Week yesterday, I can't wait to see what's in the next batch, too!

La Bamba Jumpsuit

The sunglasses, the fringe jacket, and now the jumpsuit, the Brooklyn Flea vintage vendors are doing me good! How festive and wonderfully summery is this jumpsuit, though?! (And in mint condition!) I love how the crisp, white cotton gives a nice contrast to the MC Hammer shape of it. With pops of colorful embroidery, this outfit would be great starting at the beach and ending sipping margaritas and dancing to "La Bamba".
