The bag: The Push Lock

Why I love it: I don’t wear a lot of color, but my favorite pop in an accessory is red. The Cambridge Satchel Pushlock in red is the perfect size and color for just about every look from day to night.

The outfit: Because this bag suits afternoon and evening looks, I decided to match an equally transitional outfit. Maybe because I’m a 90s kid, but the black slip dress is my go-to. It always works and never goes out of style.  I kept it very minimalistic by just pairing a strappy point toe shoe and finishing with the red pop in the bag. Head to toe you have a look that’s cool, chic, and works for bopping around the city day or night.

The location: Another one of my favorite NY areas: SoHo. The SPOT for shopping in NYC as it has everything from mainstream to boutique and spans a large portion of the downtown area. Cobblestone streets filled with coffee shops and one of a kind retailers, you can find me here most days of the week. When working and running errands, I like my look to be easy and light so a slip dress and small crossbody are the perfect combination for just that.

If I could sum this look up in three words I’d say: minimal, light, easy.

The bag: The Tassel Bag

Why I love it: I immediately fell in love with this bag because of it’s 70s influence with the saddle shape and tassel detail. #avintagevice Need I say more?

The outfit: Playing into that 70s vibe (my dad did wear a white tux on his wedding day) and adding a touch of Parisian influence, I decided to rock an all white suit. In easy lightweight cotton and linens, this suited look is one that is elevated but doesn’t leave me feeling stuffy. Stylist tip: By keeping the look neutral from head to toe, you elongate yourself (no matter how tall or short you really are) and let the tassels do the talking.

The location: We shot this look in my all time favorite neighborhood: the West Village. You haven’t been to New York until you’ve been to here. The ambience, the people, the stores, the cafes. My first summer interning in NY I spent 3 hours wandering in the WV with no map and it was maybe the best 3 hours of my life. And just about any outfit is perfect in the WV as long as it feels like you.

If I could sum this look up in three words I’d say: 70s, fresh, relaxed.

The bag: Small Portrait Backpack

Why I love it: There’s nothing chicer than a structured bag and I love how efficient a backpack can be in terms of size and portability-- especially when you live in a city that requires a lot of running around. The less hassle the better and this burgundy is the perfect tone to work into your fall wardrobe.

The outfit: I like to have certain elements of contrast in most looks I create, so I juxtaposed the boxy backpack with a casual but quintessential white tee. But by rocking a new denim silhouette like the cropped wide leg and a Parisian-influenced neck scarf, I manage to turn simple basics from 0 to 60 in seconds. This look is chic while still super easy/comfy to move around in.

The location: We shot this at the park at Roosevelt Island. A tiny island in between Manhattan and Brooklyn, it’s a beautiful spot to take in all the views. The park has some stunning architecture and big lawn that’s great for lounging with friends or having a picnic.

If I could sum this look up in three words I’d say: cool, casual, chic. More to come with my collaboration with Cambridge Satchel Company!

AMO Denim Jacket / Halston Sweater / Markoo Leather Skirt (similar or here)/ Falke Tights / Jeffrey Campbell Shoes / Cambridge Satchel Bag

I'm typically torn between the 70s or the 90s being my favorite throwback era and times that my looks are often inspired by (or purchased from). But lately, I have found myself drawn to that mid-sixties Twiggy vibe that has you feeling like the coolest Londoner in the room. Mini + turtleneck + square toe bootie = hello Lesley Lawson. I loved the button detailing and stiff leather on this mini by new brand discovery, Markoo. I combined it with my current addiction, turtlenecks, but one with a unique cutout neckline and bell sleeve (a bit of 70s snuck in there with disco favorite Halston). Finished with a classic denim jacket, oxford inspired bootie, and briefcase-like satchel, I successfully achieve that quintessential 60s supermodel look. Shop the links above to add a bit of Twiggy into your 2016 wardrobe.
