Vintage YSL Blazer via The Bargain District / Target Basic Tee / Vintage Levi's Cutoffs / Tibi Slingbacks (similar) / Outlette Necklace and Rings

Revamp your 80s power suit. This vintage YSL blazer caught my eye immediately with its boxy shape, pinstripe, and pristine tailoring. But when working it into an outfit, I had to take extra care to keep it from looking dated. I tamed the shoulderpad-bearing jacket by pairing it with a simple, white tee and vintage Levi's cutoffs. The more casual vibe of the top and shorts modernize the blazer while letting it be the focal point of the outfit. Pair the whole look with a simple sneaker or fun heel for a more streetstyle look. Shop the links above to get the exact blazer and more :)

Striped & Cropped Sweater / Vintage Skortalls / Atelje 71 Laceup Sandal / Gorjana Bracelet and Sophie Harper Ring via Rocksbox / Outlette Necklace and Rings / Vintage Rings

We all know I'm a sucker for anything 90s. Cropped, denim, any type of onesie? Make it a full on affair. While sometimes I go for a full on 90s look with no shame, I like to "cool it up" a bit by adding other silhouettes and elements in the outfit. The main element I added to the 90s inspo of this look was a sporty, rugby vibe alla Alex Wang spring 2010. A thick, rugby stripe and full-on lace up sandals with a deconstructed skate/cleat quality add an unexpected flair to the 90s silhouette of the "skortall" and cropped sweater. Shop the links above to get my look and mix up your throwback game...pun intended.

Vintage Suno Tank via The Bargain District / J.Crew Shorts / Platform Supergas / Vintage Sunnies via Brooklyn Flea Market / Gorjana Bracelet and Sophie Harper Ring via Rocksbox / Outlette Necklace and Rings / Vintage Rings

Nothing says summer like a festive print and no one does prints like Suno. This vintage Suno top was one of the first things to catch my eye during my first meeting with The Bargain District. Crisp material, pastel pineapple print, AND crochet detailing... It was a done deal. One of my new favorite pieces in my wardrobe, I would pair this top with any white bottom or a contrasting print, like I did with a stripe here. The strong navy lines makes a nice contrast against the pastel and feminine qualities of the top. Finished with a simple white platform sneaker and my favorite 70s “Chloe-esque” sunnies, and you’ve got yourself a fresh look for the height of summer.

Stone Cold Fox X Beach Riot Swimsuit / Lack of Color Straw Hat / Wren & Glory Ring / Kate Spade Initial Necklace / Outlette Necklace and Rings / Vintage Rings

I am a true beach lover. So when it comes to swim style and accessories, I love finding new patterns and shapes that set the best pieces apart. My perfect beach combo of the day involves an amazing one piece by a collaboration between Stone Cold Fox and Beach Riot paired with an equally exquisite straw fedora by Lack of Color. Amazing boning in the construction of the deep v is equal parts structural and sexy and the pattern and ruffle detailing add a bit of girly, vintage charm to the suit. I paired my one piece with a classically constructed straw fedora that is truly one of the most perfect straw hat shapes I have found yet. Shop the links above to get my look and happy beaching!

MLM Label Top / Vintage Polo Cutoffs / Target Wedges (similar) / Wren & Glory Ring / Kate Spade Initial Necklace / Outlette Necklace and Rings / Vintage Rings

Another key piece to add to your wardrobe this summer: anything off the shoulder. That dose of shoulder and collarbone add the perfect amount of femininity and slight sex appeal to anything you pair it with. I decided to pair my voluminous off-the-shoulder top with some tiny little cutoffs and a mix between a wedge and a platform. The contrast of proportions and the right dose of skin make this outfit great for a day of shopping into a night out with the girls. Shop the links above and brush your shoulders off a bit.

Motel Rocks Shirt / Addison Shorts / Spendid Espadrilles / Urban Outfitters Sunnies  / Wren & Glory Ring / Kate Spade Initial Necklace / Outlette Necklace and Rings / Vintage Rings

For me, summertime equals a rise in hemlines. Shorts, crop tops, and minis in light, loose materials make for easy summer dressing. This boxy, short sleeve buttondown from Motel Rocks works perfectly with so many things and a great go-to for getting dressed in the morning. I paired mine with slinkier white shorts to contrast color, shape, and material, and added these adorable espadrilles for a true summery vibe. Shop the links above to get my look!

Tobi romper / Yellow Wedges / Urban Outfitters Sunnies / Wren & Glory Ring / Kate Spade Initial Necklace / Outlette Necklace and Rings / Vintage Rings

The Romper. One of my personal favs and your hero piece for the summer. Essentially an all-in-one outfit, rompers can take you just about anywhere. Focus on cottons, silk/chiffons and simple silhouettes when finding the most versatile romper. Then from there, it's all about the accessories to take the outfit where you want it to go.

This onesie from Tobi caught my eye immediately. Crisp cotton, classic shape, and the most adorable details make it the perfect romper for say... a day at Coney Island. I took my outfit in a summer fun kinda vibe! Sky high wedges and retro sunnies added to this daisy, laceup onesie complete the look. Shop this romper and fun accessories above!

Viva Aviva Crop Top and Skirt / Custom Stan Smith Sneakers / Wren & Glory Ring / Kate Spade Initial Necklace / Outlette Necklace and Rings / Vintage Rings

When passion, design, and entrepreneurship combine, it can be the start of something amazing. The first time I met emerging designer, Aviva Falke of Viva Aviva, I instantly could feel her passion and positivity and it was infectious! She took a dream and turned it into a reality. With unique designs, quality fabrics, and affordable price, Viva Aviva is one to work into your closet. This amazing pink crop top and skirt are perfect together and apart. I've worn the skirt with a little, black crop top and sky high sandals for a rehearsal dinner and here worn together but pared down with a classic, white sneaker. Quality separates are a necessity in every girl's wardrobe and a great fall back when worn together for a fool proof look. Shop the links above to get my look and learn more about my girl and her line!

Cotton On Lilou Blouse and Flashback Jean /
Vintage Flatforms (similar) / Kate Spade Initial Necklace /
Outlette Necklace and Rings / Vintage and Handmade Rings

Continuing with my love for Australian designers, meet Cotton On. Cotton On prides itself on affordability, ethics, and sustainability, as well as, philanthropic efforts in its ties with The Cotton On Foundation. I was intrigued by both their story and their clothes! Not only do they have perfect basics in the softest material, but the prices are reasonable without being “cheap”.

I only found it fitting that I highlight their flashback jean (aka vintage 90s mom jean revivalllll) and easy, breezy oversized lilou blouse. Super soft and comfy, these pieces paired with your favorite layering jewels and flatforms make a perfect weekend look. Needless to say, these have been in heavy rotation in my wardrobe. Wear them together or apart-- they're really great (or ripper as the Aussie's say)! Shop the links above to get my look and learn a bit more about Cotton On.

Vintage L.L. Bean Jacket / Vintage Denim Shirt / Vintage Levi's Cutoffs / Arizona Birkenstocks / Vintage, Handmade, and

My boyfriend likes to call me "denim warrior" and for good reason. Denim is a major part of my daily wardrobe, so you can often find me in denim on denim... on denim, which of course, is where this nickname comes from. I've done a few lessons on AVV about wearing denim on denim, and here I'm going all out. And all out vintage for that matter. Some of the best vintage pieces I've found (and that I tend to wear the most) are amazing denim styles that I've found for a bargain. You can go to those high end boutiques and spend $200-$300 on vintage Levi’s OR you can go to your local thrift store or Etsy and buy them at more than a tenth the cost! I scored these vintage Levi’s cutoffs at the infamous No Relation/L Train Vintage for $7, this shirt at the Brooklyn Flea for $15, and this vintage L.L. Bean jacket at The Vintage Twin pop up shop for $65!

Now for the styling! I mixed the washes a bit, contrasted the roughness of the denim, and played with the buttoning for a peek of skin. While the pieces are oversized, the little details of pulling a back tuck on the shirt, keeping the pieces open, and that dose of skin make it fresh. Shop my look above (I found the exact jacket for you on Etsy!) and check out some of these vintage/thrift spots when you are next in NY! You’re in for a deal!

Adam Lippes Shirtdress (here, here or here) / Free People Crop Top / FindersKeepers Shorts (similar) / Superga Platforms / Kate Spade Necklace / Outlette Necklace and Rings / Vintage and Handmade Rings

For me, the key to dressing well is all about balance and contrast. Tight pieces with loose, feminine with masculine, short with long. I've touched on balancing proportions before but I thought this outfit was the perfect example to highlight the balance on tight/loose, short/long, as well as, contrasting fabrics. I paired this stretchy, cotton tank with a dressier, pleated short. If I stop here, I have a lot of skin going on. So I add the long, silky "jacket". This is actually a new take on the shirtdress and another style tip to have up your sleeve-- keep the dress unbuttoned completely and have it act as a longer, light jacket. Wrap it up with a platform sneaker and some layering jewelry and you have a look that cool, easy, effortless.

Tela Crop Top / American Apparel Skirt / Zara Sandals (similar) / J.Crew Earrings / Kate Spade Necklace / Outlette Necklace and Rings

The temp hit above 70 this gorgeous day in Dumbo, Brooklyn and I was instantly ready for summer. There was something about the atmosphere paired with this fun look that had me craving frozen margaritas along the waterfront. I loved playing with the proportions of the skirt and the crop top while piecing this outfit together. The circular, a-line shape of the shirt and the skirt may seem competing while on the hangar, but once they’re on, it hits just right! While I love this look as a whole, the piece that takes it to the next level is the gorgeous statement earrings compliments of J. Crew. They add the perfect amount of POP and are a sure way to get jaws dropping. Shop the links above to get my festive summer look!

Lack of Color Hat / BB Dakota Duster / Cotton On Tee / Vintage-Handmade Polo cutoffs / Asos Booties (similar) / Handmade, Vintage, Outlette Rings

I've recently become hooked on hats. Well-made? Amazing shape? A good hat can take your look from 0 to 60 real quick. Some notable hatmakers can top out around $300 but I managed to find a brand with the same quality as those more notable brands at a fraction of the price. Meet Lack of Color. An Aussie brand (ps I'm also hooked on Australian brands lately- thinking a visit is in order soon enough!) that kills it in craftsmanship and price. I only found it fitting to pair their Montana style with an outfit as amazingly western. Clean white and denim, a contrast length duster, and kick ass boots finish off the look. Shop the links above to get it now. TGIF and hats off to an amazing weekend!

Urban Outfitters Tee (on sale!) / Williamsburg Garment Denim / Marc by Marc Pump

Many may not know that I originally grew up in Tennessee, but I have always felt like my roots are in New York. My parents grew up here, I visited constantly in my youth, and after my first summer internship, I knew that Manhattan was as I like to call it "the hometown of my soul" and that I would be back for good. In these photos, my tee, the local Brooklyn denim, the black and white color palette, and the breathtaking World Trade Center personify all that is NEW YORK. So I only found it fitting to make this post a bit of a love letter, an ode if you will, to this amazing city I call home.
