I’m deeming this week “San Diego Week” as I give you guys an inside look at some of my favorite OOTDs from my trip last month and must-see spots if you’re looking to visit. I may be a March baby but I live for sunshine and summer. San Diego was channeling every bit of it. Suburban but quaint, the colors of the buildings, the cliffs on the beach, and the plants… I have this thing with them and they were unlike anything I've ever seen! The weather had me seriously ready for summer and in real denial when I landed back on the East Coast.

 I was utterly obsessed with this area of San Diego called La Jolla. Such a beach town and the views were breathtaking. Near the spot where this was shot was the most beautiful parks, trees, and a beach full of seals. They smelled horrible but were such a sight.

Sea mammals aside, it’s only fitting that I start with my favorite suit of the trip on the cliffs of La Jolla. We all know I’m a sucker for one pieces and I loved the clean lines coupled with the plunging neckline and strap detail on this Solid + Striped gem. Perfect for us less-endowed ladies, this suit ups the sex appeal while still being classic (and classy for that matter). Add this one piece + La Jolla to your list for your next San Diego getaway.

It's never "too late" to buy a swimsuit. Be an optimist. People are saying "summer is over" but I beg to differ. Who knows, maybe you'll be hitting a tropical island in October and visiting the Aussies in December. Cue Triangl swim. I fell in love with their use of neoprene and diverse colors and shapes. I opted for this bohemian inspired suit in this muted orange color I've been finding myself drawn to lately! Paired with layered delicate jewelry and beach waves, you have a look that works no matter if you're at the beach in Brooklyn or headed to the South of Spain. Sun Therapy

Most people have no clue that New York has beaches! And I don't know what I'd do without them! I grew up driving to NY every summer for a family reunion of sorts, and it always involved beaching and boating! Since age 6, the waters of Long Island have transformed from a playground to a place of tranquility. Now working in the city (and in the fashion industry no less), heading to my aunt's little house on the canal is truly my therapy. It's the perfect place to unwind and relax in the summer. You'll often find me there for an entire weekend, no makeup, tangled hair, swimsuit 24/7. There's something so carefree and easy about it all. Pin Up

Continuing with the lace up theme, I only found it fitting to follow my favorite bodysuit with my favorite bikini of the summer. Highwaisted and classic black, this suit has a bit of a retro, pinup feel to it. But once you look into the details, you see where she takes the suit from the 50s and makes its modern. The ribbed detailing of the material, the lace ups on the sides, and the slightly cheeky back add just the right amount of detail to make it a statement while still staying timeless.

Perfect Beach Combo

I am a true beach lover. So when it comes to swim style and accessories, I love finding new patterns and shapes that set the best pieces apart. My perfect beach combo of the day involves an amazing one piece by a collaboration between Stone Cold Fox and Beach Riot paired with an equally exquisite straw fedora by Lack of Color. Amazing boning in the construction of the deep v is equal parts structural and sexy and the pattern and ruffle detailing add a bit of girly, vintage charm to the suit.
