In honor of opening weekend for the New York Yankees, I found it most fitting to highlight one of my solo looks from the infamous shoot at the Nomad Hotel. A little girly and a little boyish charm to this at-home look describes a great bit of my personality and style. Highwaisted, retro, and delicate details in this gorgeous set from Morgan Lane contrast with my favorite Yankees ball cap. Have a little fun this Saturday. Saturdays are my little bit of heaven. I strategically plan to sleep as late as possible and remain in the comfiest pieces of clothing for usually longer than acceptable. But sometimes, you just need it. Working in Manhattan, and in the fashion industry no less, can be taxing. Sometimes you have to #treatyoself to doing nothing, and for me, it's always in #mycalvins.

For a very special edition of my Saturday Series, I brought along my best friend and partner in crime, Katie, for a night full of wine, lingerie, laughs, and a lot of fun. Over the next eight days, you'll get a look at my favorite pieces for this Valentine's Day, both sweet and sexy. We start with, in my opinion, one of the sexiest pieces: the bodysuit. Sheer, lace, piping or none, so many different shapes for different body types make this one of lingerie's hero pieces. Black tights for long and lean legs, natural makeup, and tousled hair keep it real but sexy all in one nice little package. Lingerie meets loungewear in the CK Underwear Modern Collection. It has the sex appeal of a matching set and comfort of the softest cotton. I have a soft spot for these old school waist bands especially brought famous in the 90s via Kate Moss. Not to mention, one of my favorite trend revival eras and favorite style icons! Combine the two and a bit of sunshine, and I've got the recipe for a perfect afternoon indoors. Happy weekend!

Nothing like a hot cup of tea and cozy vibes indoors on a cold and wintery day.  Sweater leggings (aka the new long john) and soft slippers are the perfect place to start. Naturally, I'm in love with the fact that highwaisted underwear is back. In different fabrics, textures, colors, the possibilities are endless. I opted for this gorgeous lace pair to achieve a sexier granny panty (insert laugh emoji). With a buttery soft tee, frilly socks and a rhinestone choker, there's a retro allure that ups your homey uniform. Happy weekend and girly relaxation.

Saturday Series: Part IV

During the winter, if I see the word thermal, that’s all I need to hear. So when I found these old-school boyish pair of undies in that perfect waffley material, it was a done deal. Highwaisted and comfy as hell, they’re my favorite lounging “short”. Second order of business: this epic, yellow button down from BumCake vintage. It makes me feel like a badass 80 year old man, sitting on a boardwalk, smoking a cigar. Think Ocean City, circa 1990. The combination of the two (with my Cosabella bralette I wear just about everyday) makes for another perfect Saturday lounge.

Saturday Series: Part III

American Apparel Tee / Victoria's Secret Hiphugger / H&M Socks (similar)

Saturday Series slowing turning into middle of the night Saturday Series #nightowl. Last week, I shared some of the comfiest sweatpants and now baseball tee and socks. This American Apparel shirt is one of the softest things I own. Perfect fit and a 10 on the comfy scale, I love wearing it around the house (pantless of course) or tucked into my favorite mom jeans and pointy boots during the day. Next, socks. Mens or vintage pairs are the biggest, comfiest, and coziest. I've also rocked this pair with the infamous Madewell sweatpants and hightop converse for an amazing 80s/90s vibe. Curl up in my look above with your favorite glass of Pinot or hit the streets in pieces that give you a cozy but cool look.

Saturday Series: Part II

I'd have to say sometimes my style can fluctuate between a 80 year old grandma and a 12 year old boy. This outfit: case in point. I fell in love with this "senior women" tee from Bum Cake Vintage. The playfulness of the graphics and the baseball feel of the tee... A bit grandma, a bit boy. Also, since I bought these sweats from Madewell (on an extra sale of course), I have been basically living in them. Paired together with my favorite Chucks, I have a comfy outfit that cozy enough for a Saturday in and cute enough to pop around town.
