AYR Tank and Pant / Elizabeth and James Backpack / Mules (on sale!)

Whether you're having a styling block or just need something simple on-the-go, reaching for those "redefined classics" will always steer you in the right fashion direction. One of my favorite brands for just that (and that also happens to be quality made without a hefty price-tag) is AYR. This NY favorite always delivers on clean denim and easy suiting, simple camisoles and comfy trousers. I am madly in love with their "shadow pant" (worn above) that has a drop crotch for added cool and fabric that looks refined but feels amazing. Another no-brainer styling piece is a leather backpack. With it's rise to fame, brands have developed various silhouettes and shapes to suit your fancy. I loved this Elizabeth and James one with a furry flap. Shop the links above <3

Borrowed from the Boys

Theory Blazer / Rachel Pally Crop Top / Leifsdottir Pants (similar) / Grenson Loafers / Vintage Buxton Bag (similar) / Gorjana, Elizabeth and James, Jennifer Zeuner, and Vintage Rings

There's always some fun to be had with a menswear inspired look. A bit of quirky, whimsy, unexpected. The crop top, for example. In order to avoid looking too "borrowed from the boys", I threw in this Rachel Pally crop top to add some femininity and sex appeal to the outfit. Regardless of feeling boyish or sexy, I stepped out of the apartment feeling like a bit of a badass, wearing the pants.

On a shoe trend note, platform flats are all the rage for fall. The moment I spotted these Grenson loafers, I knew I had to have them. You can pair them with a blazer and printed pant like above, with a structured mini and comfy sweater, or with a boyfriend jean and slim tee. No matter which way you choose, you'll be stepping out ahead.

Street Style

Street Style
Street Style- what is it? In my eyes, it's an elevated form of fashion. It pushes the limits, creates new ideas and inspiration. Ultimately, it's the looks that fashion editors and bloggers are wearing, usually to fashion week, that you instantly want to steal! The outfit I created above has just an instant "cool" feel about it. It's fun, different, and creative (or at least I like to think so!) Graphic tees and prints are trends seen on "the streets" that you want to try now, and this is a great way to mix the two!
